Domain name Question and Answer Transfers of Registrar
Transfers of Registrar:
Q1- How do I transfer my domain name from company A to company B?
A1- The first thing you should do is check with your current registrar and make sure your domain name is in good standing and is not locked. You may also require an Authorization Code, depending on the TLD you are transferring. Next you need to contact the new registrar that you are looking to move to and initiate the transfer with them. You may need to provide the Authorization Code you were provided from your current registrar.
Over the next few days you are likely to receive email(s) from each registrar requesting confirmation. These are sent to the administrative contact for the domain.
